For reviews I like to put the discs through Power DVD 4.0 and by checking the information it gives the kbps rate for Dolby and DTS. However my copy of Power DVD does not display dts, it says it is unavailable. I have downloaded a trial version of Power DVD 5 and this feature works on it, but my trial is over and I am back to version 4, and again it wont show it.

Any ideas? Can't find version 5.0 in the shops. And the download is £40 which I don't want to do.

IIRC the DTS support is in an add-on module ... if you go to their website they tell you how to check the version you have, OEM versions are often 2-channel mode and of course DTS needs 6-channels.

I could be marking up the wrong tree here, it's some time since I had the basic 2-ch version.

Also, as I read their website the upgrade from V4 to V5 is $29.95, which is what I did some time back when V5 was released.

Anybody help any further? Dont want to spend £40 just for one feature. I only use the PC for review stuff, have a scaler and player for the PJ.
