Can anyone tell me if the 720 watts of power consumption quoted on the back of the amp is actually what it burns all the time? - or is this only if it's running full
    pelt ?
I'm a little concerned that it might lead to big electric bills.
    What do you think?

no, its only peak power, its the absolute maximum it could ever draw, i can't quote figues but the power consumption while watching at a moderate level is alot less. even so , look at it this way. i pay about 9p per Kw/h, so even if your amp was operating for 2 hours at 500 w then its only cost you 9p! not alot really!
