Hi,

Can anyone offer advice please. I am mounting an 42" LED tv onto a wall. It is a brick feature wall which i am over cladding with timber studs and plasteboard.

I am running all the cables behid the plasterboard but wondered about the power cable. My intension was just to extend it with a 13 amp (tv is 10amp)flex junction box. cable will run about 4 foot behind the plasterboard before coming out and into the socket at the bottom of the wall. Does anyone think this is ok?

Cheers in advance for any responses

Paul

You need to be abit more specific...What is getting mounted where and connected to what using what?

Thanks for your replies. The wiring diagram really helped.

I had a second thought about extending the flex on the TV and i have now run a length of twin & earth behind the plasterboard with a socket either end. Not quite as good aesthetically but safer!! and i don't have any problems with warranty on the TV because i haven't cut the moulded plug off.

Thanks again

Paul
