I am currently thinking of a setup that would have the KEF Q1's as FL, FR and Center. And then the KEF Eggs as the Rear Speakers.

Does this sound like a reasonable combination to have? Reason being I have more space at the front than at the back.

Certainly sounds reasonable to me. Top them off with a decent sub and you´ll have a great system.:)

Also, are the Q1's available as single speakers yet or just in pairs?

You will have problems with the eggs mix, not only timbre matching, but particularly crossover matching, 80hz for the Q1s, 120hz for the eggs...

Well, it will not be the end of the world loosing some bass of the surrounds, but male voices will sound thin from the back...

No way to fit Q1s against the back wall...
