I have a 2016 Vizio M series 4k tv with some banding and posterization issues mainly with light banding lines in the background and posterization in the front during low light scenes. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I need to know if it's a streaming problem or an actual problem with the tv itself. All my connections are mainly WIFI with speed tests running on average at 30mbps. It seems to happen the most when streaming and only sometimes when gaming and has seemed to be gradually getting worse with time. And when I put in a blu-ray of the exact same movie and pause it at the exact same spot-I receive the exact same visual problems and patterns. I’ve asked several tv salesman and repair people and they say different various things and of course they try to sell me on a new tv. Is it a bad video/Tcon board, is the tv struggling to process the information or is it a backlight issue? I don’t know so I’m throwing this out the experts with some pics. Please let me know if you have seen this before. Thanks in advance!
