Question Possible tristar chip bad - iPhone 6s

I recently had the iPhone battery replaced after having it checked due to recently being unable to charge or switch the phone on.

After having the new battery fitted It switched on, and charges, however won't charge from a genuine apple charger. But will from non genuine, Poundland version to be precise.

Anyway, since the battery was replaced the battery drains incredibly fast. in fact, when unplugged from a full charge at 7am, the battery percentage at approx 11AM had dropped to 31% and the phone had hardly been touched. A little later, I was keeping an eye on the battery percentage which showed 26% for about 2-3 hours, later to discover the screen had froze, and that wasn't actually the true percentage of the battery. When I attempted to do something on the phone it dropped to 20% within a second or 2, then the screen didn't run smooth, would freeze for a second, and took a few (a few more than you'd normally expect) seconds to open any apps, with this I tried a soft reset, this then resulted in the Apple logo being displayed and wouldn't fully load to home screen, and wouldn't switch off. I attempted to try a soft reset a few more times, the apple logo started to flash. Once i got home i plugged the phone into the none genuine charger and it started charging. up until the phone battery level dropped it ran perfectly smooth and apps opened as expected.

Would I be right in thinking the tristar chip is dead/bad and needs to be replaced?

Where was the repair done? Is the new battery a genuine one? It’s more likely that the battery is duff or damage has occurred during the repair rather than the tristar chip needing replacement. After a battery fit it’s often a loose connection or a short somewhere.
There are ways the tristar can be tested though Testing for Tristar charging issues

Slightly annoyed with myself when I say it was repaired at a small repair shop locally. Who put a new battery in, they did show me the battery they put in but didn’t actually look at it properly so could well be a copy.

My thoughts on the problem being the Tristar is because the phone only chargers with a none genuine charger and only when plugging it in a certain way. The power drains really fast, and have noticed when the power is low 20-30% the phone starts freezing it’s not smooth running I.e. scrolling pages, opening apps

I am hoping to get to a specialist tomorrow morning to get them to confirm the actual problem
