I find it really annoying when i turn on my Panasonic pv500 that it goes onto a blank screen - I dont have an aerial plugged in, so no freeview, as I have sky. Thus I have to turn it on, and then press to go to AV1 for sky.

Is there a way to turn it on so it goes straight onto sky???? Am i missing something really obvious, and this is gonna get stupid post of the year award????

:offtopic: Bit strong that, dont you think? The idear of asking a question is because you dont know the answer. What would be stupid is to know you have a problem, but not find the solution. :lesson:

    Also,
When the Tv is turned on, even if you have the power on prefrence set to AV1 , in order for it to auto select , there must alreaday be a signal going to it.
So if for example, if sky digital is connected to AV1, it must actually be on and not just in standby, for it to auto select on power up. :)
