For anyone that has read the Necroscope novels by Brian Lumley, this could be very interesting indeed.

Even though it is literally 'in the process', the fact that it is under consideration shows a lot of promise.

If they make it well, and the whole saga eventually turns into film, then we have a very good vampire/horror set of films on the way.

But........we all know how some books get treated.

    Fingers crossed.

My favorite series of books! (Not that you'd guess heh  )

I just really, really hope that they pull it off and pull it off well.

Not sure they could do the books justice with a live action movie - what happened to the Animated (anime? ) movie that was rumoured a while back?
Also wheres the game based on the books that was meant to be out on pc?
Love the books - easily the best Vampire, Spy, Esp series around.

Excellent news, been a fan of the books for years, my fears are similar to everyone elses in that I just hope they do it justice if they do manage to get it off the ground.

I'm worried that if they stick to the book, how they can portray some of the more unusaul vampire charateristics, ie, tenticles etc that come out of their bodies.

Would have to be a CGI-fest.....in fact so much in Starside would have to be, from the insides of the aeries to the flyers and battle-beasts.

Could be quite frightening as well

    This could be so good.

But it would need a lot of money and a director with vision to work. The vampyri stuff is so messed up.

I've been hoping for years that someone would make it.

Thats why i think an Anime version would work so much better - just look at the demons in overfiend or wicked city etc. They could really do justice to the Wamphyri.

It's when you get to the three spin off books set in fully the Vampire World that I really loved the books.

Just how you would imagine 'full on' vampires to be.

Forget black cloaks and mesmerized women; but instead bloody, gushing tribal warfare with medievel style combat, pillage and destruction. Mingle in a good story and you're away.

    I really enjoyed those three.

The rest are also good first time around (been re reading them), with an original story.

God I hope so. Just imagine some of the audio they could mix in there!

Wide open spaces. Aerial combat. Ground combat. Tense, dark nights. The list is endless.
