I've just watched ANH/ESB and whilst the transfer is awesome the lip sync seems out all the way through..? I haven't noticed this on any other R2 discs through my system before...

Try stopping and starting it during the problem, normally works for me.

I thought there was a little of a sync problem bit here & there in EPIV but my system can compensate for that (if I can be bothered to set it...)

I thought I detected a slight lip synch problem. I have only watched 'a new hope'. Is it possible its where they have re dubbed the sound in places?. Blown away by the pq on my 'old' panny ae100 pj...........out of this world! Possibly the cleanest, sharpest, best defined, best blacks picture I have ever seen on my low budget HC.

Glad someone else has noticed this thought it was just me, although it only seems to be a problem on a New Hope, the other ones seem fine. its a shame as the picture quality is incredible.

I've noticed it on all three films to some degree, although I agree A New Hope seems to be the worst...

I also have notice this problem with SW and ESB, I haven't watched ROTJ yet. So are we all happy? I'm at the point of thinking if other people find it a big problem like me I would be tempted to return my set.

Does the lip sync start off OK at the start of the film and gradually get worse as the film progresses ? If it is, then Del Boy Smiffy's suggestion of hitting the stop button during the film and quickly restarting should put it back into sync

I not sure where the lip sync starts. I just noticed it in the first movie and thought it to be dubbing, but then I noticed it in the second. I'll have to go back and check it out, also I'll try the stop start.

I noticed the sync was out on ANH also, very annoying in many parts, not noticed it on ESB, still to watch ROTJ. I thought the sound was much better on the whole film of ESB than ANH.

Watched ROTJ last night it seens fine. So it must just be the dub on the first 2. Does anyone know what the Region 1 is like?

Watched all the films back to back today, I only saw the problem on a new hope, and it seemed to only affect parts of the first third of the film. I also thought that some of the dialog in a new hope sounded "hollow".

Oh, and my copy is a region 1.

I didnt notice lip-sync probs in Star Wars, but did spot some when Han and Leia talk in Jedi at a couple of places. I'm not sure if i was watching it more because of the mentions here, as it might have slipped past under normal viewing?

I've only watched 'A New Hope' so far. I did notice poor lip synching in the Catina scene, but that's always been there from the original cinema release in 1977, on VHS and VCD.
