    Anyone know of a cheap MP3 player or similar that can take a mic input for voice recording, note taking I need one soon and thought a dual purpose unit would be a better buy than a dedicated dictaphone either cassette or digital.

    Not exactly cheap but te Mpio FD-100 does that and plays back mp3 and wma files too, recording is wav however. (IHaveToHaveIt)

    Dedicated dictating devices are much better.

    Cheers mate i got a minidisc recorder in the end with a mic, first run out tomorrow!!!(hornydragons credit card winces in pain)
