Popcorn Hour A-210 with Hard Drive or Popbox V8 (as this seems to be the improved version of the now stable Poppbox 3d) with a NAS (cheaper option).?

The A-300 has replaced the A-210, the Popbox V8 is cut down version of the A-300 that lacks, internal jukebox, photo thumbnails, internal HDD, BD menus (unofficial feature on A-300) but has same GUI and codec support. The primary difference between the A-210 is that it feels like a slower A-300 in action.

The Popbox V8 sells for around £145, even if you got a HDD spare for a NAS you will almost certainly end up spending more money than what the A-210 or A-300 costs for a decent quality NAS & putting your spare HDD in that.

If you don't care about HD audio pass-through to amp's then the WDTV Live (around £100) is worth considering or the WDTV Live Hub (around £200) which comes with 1TB HDD inside it. If you already have a spare USB HDD you can plug it into the WDTV Live and share it out over the network so you can copy files to it.
