Popcorn Hour A-100 replacement

Standard Member
I have been a happy early user of the Popcorn Hour A-100 since March 2008 - until my internal hard drive crashed yesterday. It was probably about time to upgrade anyway.

My initial gut reaction was - I liked the A-100, so let's get the A-400. But I keep reading mixed reviews. I'd consider the Mete8er 1000 (based upon reviews) and even saw very positive reviews of a Chinese generic KDlinks HD700 (I prefer a built-in HD but for that price I'd consider an external drive). I'd be delighted to be pointed toward some critical comparisons of the alternatives - or feel free to post your unbiased (or biased) opinions.

I hold less than 1TB of audio and video content (FYI). Thanks in advance for all your input.
