Poor component picture on 32pf9986 ?

    My pioneer dv575 dvd player is connected to my philips via a component cable thru the vga/dvi adaptor with progressive scan selected on both tv and dvd player.
    Now my screen shows several short white lines at the top left going almost horizontally across half of the screen.
    Whilst this does not interfere with the picture itself it is a bit offputting,also there is a larger border at the top of the screen than the bottom.
    Is this normal or is there a setting to change.
    I might just connect via a scart lead if not.

    If these are not on the picture you could move the picture up until you can not see them using the arrows on remote.

    These lines are common to a lot of Progressive Player inputs. As Hunterm8 says, just nudge the pic up with the up cursor..
