Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it on a search.

Has Poltergeist ever been released on DVD in the UK? If it was why is it now deleted?

I too would like to get this. It not owned by MGM now and i think Warner has the rights. The R2 was out ages ago with an average pic quality,DD 2.0 and only a trailer and then got deleted. There are still kicking about in secondhand shops but hard to find. There are other european verisons available too. I am hoping a special edition is getting produced. There is also a R4 dvd outhere. I got this info from an another forum

I've just picked up a copy of Poltergeist from the bargain bin at Morrisons in Cambourne for £5.99. :) I've been looking for ages, and wasn't even sure it had ever been released as I've never seen it in over 4 yrs of DVD buying. There were loads in the bin. I know its only a bare bones disc, but its better than nothing.
