Well kinda a pic taken with Flash and one with no lights.

Pic with flash and a makeshift "home studio" lights.

The watch photo seems to me to be tilted slightly to the right.
The led torch pic is great.

can you possible give me some insight into how this is done?

the weather up here just blows the now so theres no chance of getting out to take some pictures and i feel as if my camera is sitting there doing nothing!

Unsure if i did it "correctly" but I used shutter proirity had a test to see how long to write my message dialed in what was needed, about 8 secs IIRC. Reasonably wide lens to give me the space, lights off and write with a blue LED. Use a remote shutter release or ask a friend to help out. You do have to write mirror image though so try it out before hitting the shutter release.
Think my neighbours thought I was going a bit daft waving blue light about then lights on then lights back off and blue light on lol.
Another wee effort i did, this was my tester.

Rather than write mirror image, why not write it the normal way then mirror the image?

Just realised this sounds like a Viz top tip ;-)
