I'm new to subwoofers and everything and being xmas all my friend's online who I normally ask questions to are offline so here it is

I have a ported bass worx enclosure thats 2.05feet squared, a clarion SRW1243 subwoofer (12 inch 600 watt) and my amp is a Kenwood KAC-81510 (if you wanna know what it looks like for the hell of it http://www.darksun.ws/amp.jpg ) . My question is should it be like this picture http://www.darksun.ws/sub.jpg (which is mine) or like this http://www.diysubwoofers.org/projects/vitara/images/carsub_04.jpg ? I'm talking should mine be the way it is or backwards like that?

I'm sure any differance will be small and not needed cause it's going into a 1994 Ford Ranger extended cab tomorrow so it'll be real loud to boot.

Nice amp and sub! The amp works a treat and is strong in the bass area!

For the ''Arse out'' approach where the magnet faces out and the driver in the box is generally more suitable for ''free air'' subs, but your sub is more to do with normall driver facing out, meaning the magnet sits in the box.

Most people come down to personal preferance and cosmetic reason's, however if i was you, i'd go for the safe sounding option of normal magnet in the box.

THe port in my experience of car subs can 'drone' a bit, so a sealed cabinet might work better in a bigger car!
