Podcast suggestions

I've recently begun listening to podcasts on my daily commute rather than adverts and endless dross from the current selection of radio stations. Quite enjoying the infinite monkey cage with Brian Cox and Robin Ince. The format is a certain subject with specialists in the field on the panel alongside a comedian. Just wondering if there are any other suggestions (aside from AV forums of course). Don't have any specific subject in mind as long as its engaging.

Depends what you are into.

The Football Ramble is amazing and very funny.

The Chris Jericho Podcast is always good as is the Jim Cornette Experience (probably not so appealing if you ain't-a wrestling fan).

There is a WW2 one on Spotify that is pretty good if you like History.

I have a bit of a mixed bag made up of content pulled from live radio shows to dedicated podcasts, this lot are on my feed atm:
  • AVForums podcast - obviously!
  • Kermode & Mayo’s film reviews - never able to listen live and the podcast has more content anyway
  • Bald Move - these guys are great, have various shows that cover all sorts of TV and film
  • Desert Island disks - depending on whos on
  • Test Match Special - all the best bits go onto here and can also catch the Tuffers & Vaughan show on this feed
  • The Talking Dead - think this was one of first podcasts I ever subscribed to

Athletico Mince - Andy Dawson and Bob Mortimer talking absolute nonsense but is highly funny and has almost zero football in it.
Shat the movies and we hate movies are my current daily podcasts and catching up on the back catalogue. Insightful, very funny guys on both of these.

If you're quite liberal minded this one is quite hilarious and very much 18+

Guys we fudgeed - 2 birds who interview previous boyfriends/fudge buddies and go into graphic details about how, when and why..

Not for prudes!

You might find this PC utility useful...
'get_iplayer' (not as complicated as you think!) here...

get-iplayer/get_iplayer

...I've used this for years now, essentially you can rip content from the BBC radio and TV to Mp3/Mp4 on a PC, thus it doesn't limit you to podcasts.

I use this to burn MP3 CD/RW discs with interesting radio stuff for Mrs C to listen to on her journey in her car to and from work.

someone else listens to Stanhope! Been a massive fan for about 10 years. Maybe there should be an avforums funeral parlour for the “Doug Stanhope celebrity death pool”?

Damn good list.

The joe rogan experience. Its a must for any true podcast listener.

Crap! Forgot Joe Rogan :)

Doug Stanhope is amazing. I've seen him live a couple of times and I'm always in tears. Usually at stuff nobody should be laughing at.

Another Stanhope fan/podcast listener here too. I didn't recommend him in this thread because if you're not a fan/regular listener you probably won't know what the hell is going on, never mind what the funhouse is or who Chad Shank is.

Cocktails!
