    Can anyone tell me how to adjust the digital zoom on the Sanyo PLVz1?
    I can get the option up on the screen but it's greyed out.
    EDIT Also,

    I use a video cable from the projector to the Sky box but would like a better quality picture.

    I have tried using S-Video cable,Scart - VGA and RCA X 3 but none of these cables produce a picture.

    Any ideas ?

    The only time you cannot use zoom is when using some component settings.

    I use a scart to vga cable supplied by Keene
    http://www.keene.co.uk/pages/cat/11lea/11F.html
    they can make it to a custom length if required.

    When using above cable select computer input/RGB(Scart) and make sure skybox is set to RGB.

    I've tried that now and still no joy. If anyone has any other ideas I'd be grateful.

    Hi

    SCART to VGA definitely works perfectly.

    I know literally dozens of people who had/have their Z1's configured in this way.

    You need to double check a few things:-

    1) Is RGB definitely selected on the SKY box
    2) Are you definitely plugged into the TV socket and not the VCR socket
    3) Is your RGB SCART cable correctly wired?
    - R->R
    - G->G
    - B->B
    - Composite->H-Sync

    Unless your Sky box is either a Sky+ box or one of the few Grundig boxes with an S-video output, you will not be able to use S-Video without buying a converter.
