    hi can you please help!!

have any of you tried connecting a sony playstation through your plv-30 using composite video (video in socket on projector) ?
if so did you have any problems ?
i've tried two different playstation's one being chipped one having no chip both gave me the same problem's on 99% of games i tried !!(screen pulsing top and bottom)
    any suggestions?
is there any alternate way of connecting the two together?

    thank's

    jason

    Have you tried SVHS?
If not give it a go.

Yes like Floyd says try S-Video which is what I use. Alternatively try Component if the Sanyo has component input (sorry dont know the full spec of it). If you do the latter make sure the PS2 configuration is set to YUV.

Jason, OK thought you were talking about PS2.

Best bet for PSX/PS1 is S-Video. Pick up an S-Video cable from HMV/Electronics Boutique, will cost around £10.

    Jason,

Please describe in somemore detail the Screen Pulsing Top and Bottom.

Is it a UK PS1 outputting UK Games or are they USA/Jap Games?

This could indicate a 50hz/60hz issue.

hi its a uk chipped psx but i also tried another psx without a chip with uk games and origional tiltles, out of 10 games i tried only 1 worked correctly!!
right the symptoms are as follows, the top half of the screen will flash black then it comes back on then the bottom half flashes black and thats how the cycle continues.
tekken 3 seems to be the only game that i have tried that plays ok.
i bought an s video cable and tried that but its still the same.
i have tried a nintendo 64 and that seemed fine.
i still have got a problem playing back region 2 discs on my american dvd picture jumps up and down very slightly but only on component i was wondering if that was the pal 50-60hz problem you was talking about.
and my projector has been back to sanyo to to be modified but its still the same !!

    thanks for your help

Given that its also playing up on the Component DVD input this def sounds like a synching issue.

What if anything have Sanyo said?

Are you sure the American DVD Player can output PAL?

so i'll just have to see what happens.
i just thought i would post to see if any body else has used a psx (old grey type) and see if thiers was ok.
