Plugging turntable into Technics system with no auxiliary socket

I have a USB turntable that I want to run through the Hifi while recording to my computer

I have an old Technics system with no audio Aux sockets.

There is a selection for AUX-VDP which I believe is for Video Disk Players.

Can anybody advise me whether I can plug a turntable's I/O leads into this socket??

as long as the turntable has a built in pre-amp, which it should (is it ION?), then using VDP input or audio only should be fine.
