I'm trying to plug a Samsung SyncMaster 793DF computer monitor into a APC Back-UPS emergency battery backup unit. The monitor has a European 2 round prong plug. The Back-UPS uses a shielded plug. I have adapters for the European plug, but the adapter will not fit into the female side of the shielded plug. Anyone have any idea where I could custom order a cable (or buy one off the shelf) which would allow the monitor to be plugged into the new cable (female European repository) to a male plug that will fit into the female shielded.

I've never seen a monitor with a captive mains lead. Can you not simply replace the 2 pin lead rather than try to adapt it? Something like this?
