Last night I decided to try out the theory of plugging the Rotel 1075 power amp into the wall socket as the manual suggested, I always plugged it into the extension sockets normally. What can I say, a quite startling difference, when I demo'd a movie scene at the normal volume of -15db on the pre amp it nearly blew my head off, the dynamics and volume have increased by quite some margin. To anyone in the same situation, I advise you to try using the wall socket, never hurts to try.

    Regards
    Phil
