    Dear all,

I've tried and tried to make a decision as to which laptop to buy, but for the life of me I cannot decide. I now humbly come before you all for your help and reccomendations on chosing one. I have a budget of £500, I do understand that I won't be able to play any latest games if I invest that amount into a laptop. But I more importantly I'm looking for the best deal - 'bang for my buck' as Texans say!

I've looked at one advertised on play.com
    link: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/35193...sta-Home-Premium-Laptop-Notebook/Product.html

other then that I'm pretty much clueless.

So people I eagerly await your response and in advance many many thanks :D:D

nice laptop i got the model with the 2gb of ram @ £439.99 (not showing on the website currently as i think it's out of stock.)

vista on it and runs well, looks nice etc.

only issue i had with it is a dud battery which asus have already arranged to pick up from me and replace. very quick customer service from them, very impressed as the warranty is with them directly.

Looking for one for my dad.

Best deal for a good spec I can find is this Dell if you reduce the 3yr warranty to 1yr (which subtracts 139.83).

When you get to the final price just before checkout it subtracts delivery and the 70.00 money off and works out at £504.

Money off offer ends Jan 23.

Oh and if you have Quidco then go through that for even more money off (eventually when it pays out).
