PLEX GZ950 Stuttering 4k

Novice Member
I have a Panasonic GZ950 Oled 55in and love it however i can't seem to get 4k to stream to it from my network. I had a Terramaster 221 which i sent back and replaced with a Synology DS920+ and still having the same issue.

My network setup has the TV and NAS plugged into the same Netgear gigabit switch, which then plugs into my router. My router is then wired to another switch upstairs where my PC connects. 4k stutters from both PC and NAS.

I've tried the TV wired and the TV connected over WIFI.

I have had some success using DLNA but of the two files i tested one of them was missing sound.

any help would be appreciated :)

Enable NFS on the Synology, follow pictures attached below.

Next install Kodi on the PC and go videos to add file/source and browse NFS networks then add the synology folder.

Now try playing various 4K media and see if it still stutters, that might at least tell you if its a Plex issue.

Via DLNA the audio probably wasn't being transcoded so the the TV media player could not handle it.
