I cant understand why people keep complaining about Splash:confused: There are enough threads on this forum for every member to be aware of the dodgy service that Splash provide but people still use them because every now and then they will have prices which are too good to miss.

I ordered about 15 dvds about a month ago and they have trickled in 1 by 1;I hadnt ordered from them before but after reading the posts made here I knew what to expect.I have no problem waiting a few weeks for dvds when Im only getting charged about 3 quid a disc:rolleyes: and will probably order from them again.

If you want reliable, speedy delivery use CDWOW who are always excellent and stop whinging here about Splash when their past service history has been made public knowledge here for as long as I have been a member:mad:

Sorry if Im going off on 1 but it just gets on my nerves:blush:

And their service should remain public knowledge. You and I might know about them but new members might not so its worth reminding them. You wouldn't let your mates get ripped off would you so its only fair to let fellow AV Forum members know of the pitfalls.

Not a special offer (now that gets on my nerves) and every Splash thread should come with a warning.

I appreciate that new members need to be aware of problems but it doesnt appear to be the new members who are always moaning about the service, its people who were already aware of the problems but decided they would "try 1 more time"because it was such a good price:rolleyes:

Maybe we could have some sort of sticky advising of of past problems or would that be against some sort of law/forum rules:confused:

Its a shame splash have such poor customer service as I think even those of us who love the bargains wouldn't use them if another supplier had the same dvd at the same price that we wanted. I think most of splashs sales are heavily discounted. I know they don't pay any tax as they claim the tax back on stock ordered from mainland uk and then don't charge any on deliverys back to the uk thanks to the well known loop hole in uk tax laws. Even so I'm sure splash are making big losses on much of what they sell. I mean recently I got the beverley hills cop trilogy for £6.99. How much money can they make on that? I mean retail is £30.

I know that if I'd dealt with splash been ripped off and got a lot of hassle I'd be moaning about it on this very forum but so far the bargains out weigh any minor hassle I've had by a considerable margin.

We already do - the recommended DVD retailers thread has an advisory post stating that Splash has been removed from the list.

This thread does not bewlong in DVDBargains - moving to DVDtalk...
