    One home cinema pc for everything (movies, tv, music). Will buy a seperate receiver (yamaha or marantz 4300 - up to £300).

    Now question is should i get speakers like missions floorstanders etc or just go for a package like the yamaha 220? which would be likely to sound better? is there much difference? videologic digitheatre level sound required as minimum spec.

    you won't go wrong with either a yammy or marantz receiver at that price, as for speakers you don't have to have floorstanders up front, you also have the choice of a sat/sub combo or some bookshelf speakers on stands.

    The Yamaha 220 speakers are good for a start but the bug will get you and you'll be looking at something bigger and better soon as I did last year.
