    Hi All,

Could you please recommend a 46"-50" that you feel would best fit my requirements.

Budget: up to £600 (can increase to £700)
    Screen size: 46-50"
Main Uses: Playstation 3, watching sports, Movies and general TV.

I have no requirement for Smart TV or 3D functions.

    Thanks in advance.

Got my D6900 from Amazon warehouse, was graded as 'like new' it was a brand new set:) very happy with it, fantastic for gaming and will meet your other needs too. Great for the money.

Would you be able to recommend a smaller alternative please? After looking at the TV's in the shops I'm thinking a 42-46" would be more suitable.

Sony KDL46HX753. Slightly higher than your budget, but at this size range you really shouldn't skimp - this is a long term investment!

    ST50 is worth a look.

The Sony's a good set but if you need low lag for gaming the ST50 is better. Also sport wise the ST50 is by no means perfect with motion, but you get higher motion resolution and no LCD blur or artifacts related to motion processing. Also consider when you'll be using the set and viewing angles.

No I'd not stretch yourself, maybe invest some time to find one around the same price but unless you want THX and the extra picture controls Id not bother.
Also check as Im not sure of hand, both may not have freesat if needed.
