I have posted already in Sony forum, but i think this is not related only to this tv. It is related to Sony tvs overall. But i need expert help. Please do not delete this topic, i really need help. Thank you.

Problem is on my tv that is SONY X93J (but is same as X90, X91J) but i have now tested same usb and external hdd on other tv, a year older Sony KD856 model. Same problem.

Problem is that when i watch movie through USB (3.0 or 2.0) on my tv and i have connected usb drive 3.1 or external ssd or external hdd 1tb or 2tb (tried all) i have distortion in sound, a breaking sounds, like slow sound with high breaking pitch IN ACTION SEQUENCE or when music GET HIGH volume because of lets say BATTLE.

It happens on ANY movie in BLURAY or 4K quality played through usb ports. But normal voice, and normal sound (speah, normal music) is all good!

For example - LOTR Trilogy movies h.265 codec, atmos sound - when played, intro had cracking / breaking sound, but picture fps is normal. But then 1 min later when they show normal sound and people talking everything is good, then again sound breaking on each battle / fight or uptempo sound (high bass i guess).

Example 2 - MARVEL movies i 1080p DTS MKV or codec 264 - in movie voice, talk is normal - all good, once action high, once sound should get higher because of upcoming scene or people fight there is again sound distortion, breaking sound.

There is NO problem when i watch netflix, amazong or when i play PS5 games. No sound problem ever. I do not own bluray player since i watch 99% of all my content from my HDD drives or external ssd drive connected to usb.

I have found 0 info on this problem. It is not lag, but for me it seems that sony tv have no power or ability to show me sound/audio in "i dont know what reason" so it is cracking, breaking at any big bass, action sequence in which music is always better, uptempo.

Any idea what i can do?

Would buying soundbar help me? Could i then connect usb hdd to my soundbar and connect soundbarc to hdmi and getter better sound?

Is usb on sony unable to play audio codecs? I mean, movie is in atmos, sound in movie is fine, but once action hits, its breaking - WTF

Help, help, and thank you all - any advice would be much appriciated.
