    yeah , i got a bedroom size tv, its a 21'' thompson nicam tv the model number is 21MG17UG i got it from argos. Now what i wanted to know is can i connect a 5.1 surround sound system to this tv, as i have seen on an index catalogue a cheap surround system which can connect to nicam tvs, please help as i would like to connect a 5.1 system (cheap) to my tv so i can experience 5.1 or dpl2 on my gamecube system.

    The question is not whether you can connect a 5.1 system to your TV but to your Gamecube.

    As long as your GC has an audio optical or coaxial output then YES.

    my gamecube supports dolby prologic 2 and has s-video support feature, along with rgb scart support

    I'm not very familiar with the GC but if it doesn't have any of the sockets I mentioned then it won't output DD5.1, only DPL which you can usr the SCART for.
