i have got a panasonic pwd6 plasma with s-video component (bnc) board etc

and also a yamaha ax750se av amp...

so i bought (from keene) a bnc to rca component video cable and though i'd "test" the system...

i plugged the componenet cable from the "monitor out" to the plasma... and i though it's working because the amp's display overlay thing came on... although the picture did seem to be shaky...

but when i plugged a dvd (via s-video) into the amp or even the xbox (via s-video) nothing came on the screen...

i even tried putting the xbox into the plasma direct and i got "no signal"

can anyone suggest something... i was hopeing to have it up and running this weekend...

    many thanks

is it the dual slot board you have?
make sure there is no composite cable connected and Xbox is set to S-video and input is selected to S-video
