hello all, I am looking for a digital compact camera - something very slim/light weight - easy to put in front pocket/jean pocket

key qualities that i am looking for is excellent pictures both indoors and outdoors. Not worried about manual controls - a simple point shoot will do - but picture quality is important. HD video would be a bonus but not a must. In terms of budge upto £300

Thanks

Sony TX7? (or TX5 if you want it waterproof/shockproof/freezeproof/dustproof)

The Panasonics are also rated.

agreed on the Panasonics

Lumix DMC ZX3 or ZX1 would fit your needs. These are the smaller chassis lumix models that still pack and 8x optical zoom plus Hd video

i'd go for canon ixus 130 (or even the HS 130). compact and canon's quality is real good.

i'm going for the tx5 for water and shock proof feature
