I have a Panasonic tx32-lxd1 nice set but at the time I brought it HD and HDMI's were very young and very expensive so now we have XBOX 360 so cannot play it at the full capabilities.

I have about £2000 to spend and was looking at something that is hopefully 1080p with a little bit of future proofing (if there is such a thing) something like Sony's KDL-40W2000.

Any suggestions would be great, I have seen lots of reviews saying good things and a few saying poor things about black levels.

    Thanks.

    46" Sharp XD1 £1500, or 52" for £2200. afaik you won't find a 1080P for £2000.

You can get Sharps 1080p LCD's @ 37", 42" and 46" for under £2000, infact under £1600, the 52" is over £2000 but not by much in some stores.

Oh I forgot to say I was on a limit with size no larger than 40" unfortunately, you can get the KDL-40W2000 on digitaldirect for £1400 just over and it is 1080p so they claim
