    Hi everyone,

Talk about stressed! I have a Panasonic DVD recorder under the TV. I thought it would be a good idea to tape stuff from Sky + onto a DVD RAM and then make a good DVD with menus and chapters etc.

So I bought an LG 4040B I think it is. It got 5/5 in a computer magazine so I thought it should be good. However I ordered the OEM version instead of the retail version. Why I don't know. Anyway, I have plugged it all in and the drive can recognize CD's, DVD's, DVD-R's. But does it see the DVD RAM? Does it bugger!!!

My Firmware is version 301. Does anyone have any idea how I can get it to see the DVD RAM contents and also a good program for making DVD's with menu's chapters etc.

Many thanks in advance for any replies.
    Pete

    PS - I'm using Windows 98SE

I reckon you should upgrade to WinXP as it has native support for DVD-RAM win98se doesn't. The LG web site has firmware upgrades but no sign of device drivers for 98.

Go on upgrade it is much better..........honest!
