Hello, I need help. Im looking for new TV. Now i got almost 3 years Samsung MU6470, but its broken and i want to replace, because my friend want to buy this broken so i m looking for chance to change for new one. So im looking for something better not too expensive. My budget will be perfect if its around £700-800. Size 49-50 inch.

Samsung Q60t
Samsung UE55TU8500 (its bigger but same money)
LG Nano 49' Nano 86
Sony Bravia KD49XH8196
Or maybe something different ? Maybe 55 but not too much expensive.
Maybe SONY BRAVIA KD49XH9196BU ?

I read many reviews and my mind is crazy right now. I most of the time play on consoles and watching Netflix, Amazon Video etc. Im looking possibly best picture and HDR quality, i don't mind about viewing angle because im siting opposite TV. I want to but some day ps5, so HDMI 2.1 i so important ? I play for fun, not a professional esport player etc. I feel difference if I don't got 2.1, only 2.0?

I know i that money i can't have best quality, but im looking for better than rest. Please help me, im not specialist in TV.
P.S sorry for my English, im not Native English but try my best.

In which case remove LG Nano 49' Nano 86 from your list. None of the LG LED TVs are good for picture quality or HDR as they have IPS panels which are more suited to wider viewing angles.

None of those TVs are going to be good for HDR as none of them have Full Array Local Dimming.

If you want good HDR you're looking at the Samsung Q80T minimum or a Sony XH9505 anything under those models isn't going to be good enough to give good HDR.

The cheapest you'll get decent HDR is the Hisense U8QF but there are some caveats and I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy it.. yet. It may get some updates that fix some of the issues, it may not.

Im aiming right now to Samsun Q80T. Its Decent tv ? Ive heard they got problem with game mode and dimming?

I don't know the TV situation in Poland.

If you can still pick up a Samsung Q70R (not T) or Sony Xg9505 at a good price as they're last year's models I'd have a look at them as well.

Im currently living in England, and i can't find q70R in normal shops :(

This Euronics shop can order one (perhaps try a Euronics outlet closer to home?)

or John Lewis in Reading might have one if you’re close (call to confirm in advance as stocks changeable)

2019 Samsungs are pretty much sold out now, you're about 6-8 weeks late to buy a 2019 model.

You can try what vickster says above but I wouldn't get too hopeful.

Another option is the Sony Centre refurbs if you're in the UK. new stock comes in on a Friday but you're only interested in the XG9505 or XF9005, anything with lower numbers isn't going to cut it for HDR.
A 5Yr warranty can be added at a reasonable cost as well.

I got 11 miles to Reading :) Living in Maidenhead. But got small problem im currently 2-3 week disabled, because accident and surgery :( That why im looking for delivery right now, the same time my tv broken (yeah 2020year full power for me). But this is not a point :)

But i found as well Sony 9505 (Sony Bravia KD49XH9505), for 999. Maybe this one.
Thank everybody for helping me, i really appreciated this.

The XH9505 is a 2020 TV so quite expensive just now.
If you can find a 55XG9505 it should be a bit cheaper. You won't get it in 49" only 55" or larger.

JL deliver

I found this on JL
Sony Bravia KD49XH9505 - for £999 with 5y warrianty. This price its good for me, so its not a problem.

Yeah i will try to call them. Thank You.
here’s the link for JL, you'll need to check availability, price and delivery

Try to avoid buying a 2020 model right now as they are overpriced. Good advice given above regarding last years XG9505. You can also pick up OLEDs for a similar price.

For example the Philips OLED754 or Panasonic GZ950 have both sold beneath 1k recently if you can still find one.

It's a different series of TV. Belongs with the 49" XH85 TVs.

In other words its an edge lit variant without high peak brightness and without good local dimming. Its lower spec even than the 55" XH9005 series.

Thanks. How confusing. Why would they start with a 9 if its an 8 series...
To try and trick people thinking an inferior TV is worth the extra. Especially helped by the fact they no longer sell the Xx90 models smaller than 55".
