Please help!! Which budget 32" LCD to buy??

Standard Member
I am looking to buy my first 32" flatscreen LCD with a maximum budget of £500.

The more research I do the more unsure which to go for I am becoming!

For the time being I will be using it to watch tv, movies and sport in standard definition so I am particularly concerned about the likelihood of motion blurring when watching sport in SD. I am planning on buying a PS3 before long but its probably SD performance that really matters most to me rather than HD TV.

Having looked around these seem to be my best options - I would really appreciate any recommendations on which to go for!!

Philips 32PFL7962 - £499 (-£20) at Dixons - Pixel Plus 2, Ambilight etc

Philips 32PFL7862D - £499 Comet - 100HZ, PP2, 1080p?, HD Natural Motion

Panasonic TX32LMD70 - £13 (-£20) Dixons - cheaper version of highly rated LXD70

Samsung LE32R88BD - £489 (-£20) Dixons - looks great but seems to be alot of negative reviews.

Thanks alot for any help - very much appreciated!!
