I am getting bloody sick and tired of Samsung and their stupid website.

Somehow, there is a way to check the MANUFACTURE DATE of your SSD.

I have no bloody idea though and really need someone to help me out if they know how?

I have registered the bloody SSD on the Samsung website but that didn't help.

Does anyone have any bloody clue?!?!?!??!

The manufacturing date is normally stamped on your bloody drive unless your sticker fell off, take it out and have a look :D

if the sticker fell off can you not go to the samsung RMA website and stick in the serial number?

pretty sure that is what i did when checking the warranties on a few HDDs I had.

I cant go all the way through to be sure, but i think filling this in will give you the info you need (I am assuming SSDs count as HDDs)

Glad you guys are having fun with this :D

The above link doesn't work for SSD's :(
The ones I have are still sealed in the box and I don't want to break the seal as I wish to sell them soon!

Why are Samsung making this such a pain!!!

I dont understand why the manufacture date is important. Surely its the date of sale that is the most relevant as this is when the warranty starts from. If your concerned about the firmware on the sdd's then don't be as it will update to the latest one once you have installed the drives along with Samsung Magician.

The manufacture date is important because the receipts for these products do not exist. They were bought from a 3rd party who bought from another bloody party and its been sat with me for some time.

So as a courtesy to whoever would be buying these SSD's wish to inform them of the manufacture date as it is my understanding that Samsung will accept an SSD, without receipt, aslong as the warranty is still within the 3 years of the manufacture date. pain i know lol

Come on chaps, it's a family forum. No need to keep on at it ... last warning please - it just makes the thread look silly and most of all - it's unnecessary.

    2nd Hand 830 256gb went for £110 just yesterday.
    CeX buy for £85....
I'll stick it on soon anyway without the warranty and let the buyer sort it out.

MOD - Didn't realize you were serious.

I went on the site and it lets you register the product...But there is no way to check the manufacture date.

I'm pretty sure the Manufacture date is Q3 2011 or 2012 just not sure which!

The 840 was released at the end of 2012 to replace the 830 range.

Once or twice yeah that's okay. But remember it's a forum visible to all. It's not swearing per se but entirely unnecessary in the volume on previous posts.
