Hi, I'm a newbie here. I'm going to buy a DVD recorder to record one channel on the recorder while watching another on TV using a split RF cable. I'm using IEC 169-2 connectors in my home. We are watching UHF/VHF channels(PAL).

Just wondering if there are Blu-ray disk recorders.
    thank you

Bluray recorders do exist - but they may not be available in your locality of Sri Lanka depending upon broadcasting and commercial limitations.

This is a UK based forum so it is near impossible to advise usefully. It will depend on what hardware is available in your region.

It is not normally necessary to split the RF when using a DVDR ... and splitting has the drawback of providing only half the signal to each device.

Normally the RF is fed in to the DVDR which has an RF out which then feeds onto the TV.
