Ok so I'm all set, electric alr screen, and projector lift installed into the ceiling. Benq TK850 ordered, arrived today and then :confused:

I totally forgot the projector lens is off center and that the Benq does not have horizontal lens shift and without the ability to move the lift or the projector I'm pretty much f'd up. The projector lift can only accommodate a projector 400mm wide and cannot be moved as it is embedded in the ceiling. same as the 120" ALR screen which is 330cm away from the lens.

So what options do I have for a decent PJ for my non-dedicated room?

Appreciate any advice before i lose the will to live. The cinema room was the light at the end of my lockdown tunnel!

So far I've had no joy finding anything. Or at least anything that will fill 120" at that throw. I could look at TW7100 or the upcoming LG HU810p but both of these would be a few inches smaller - would that be an issue??

The TW7100 does have some horizontal lens shift, but you need to check if it is enough as its lens is also off-centre on the PJ. Unfortunately though to get a 120" image the throw distance needs to be a minimum 3.5m whereas you're set at 3.3m! :(

Yes, so without spending money for a UST which means rewiring I’m not sure I have any other option than to project a smaller image onto the larger screen and hope things change in the future.
