Please help me decide which video cable to buy...

Hi, I want the video cable that will offer me the best video quality possible and highest resolution.

I have a Leadtek 6800GT, in the specs* it says it can support a resolution upto 2048*[email protected] I also recently picked up a Eizo F931* 20" viewable CRT which in the specs* can support a resolution of 2048*[email protected]

The Leadtek has two DVI ports (dual DVI? Analogue/digital DVI? I don't know!). The Eizo has a VGA input and 5 BNC inputs.

What cabling do I need to achieve best picture quality and maximum resolution?

I've found some likely looking candidates here, please comment if you can:-

DVI to BNC

DVI to VGA

DVI to VGA adaptor, then using a simple VGA to VGA lead

Thanks in advance!

A regular VGA cable will suffice. You can also use a VGA-BNC(5) cable, sometimes preferred.

No real benefit in DVI > VGA or BNC as it'll just be analogue anyway, same as the VGA output.

I'd also suggest running at 1600x1200 max ;) .

Ok, so because its converted to analogue there's no problem with hitting the max res?

About 1600*1200, do you say that because 2048*1536 is too high for general use like browsing, etc.?

For viewing HDTV and upscaling, having access to 2048*1536 is nice, non?
