Please help me choose one from three

currently using a blu-ray drive from my pc but would like to get a stand alone player for the HD audio and ease of use

Im living in Japan and surprisingly there is such a lack if choice in players (HDD players are plentyful) and due to budget reasons am limited to 3 options
(only 3 players sold in Japan in this price range)

Sony BDP-S350 GBP190
Pioneer BDP-120 GBP160
LG BD370 GBP132

hooked up to an Onkyo TA-SX605 and 42inch Toshiba LCD

Used for DVD and BD

Is there an obvious choice?

Ive read a lot of good stuff about the Sony.

What are peoples thoughts on the new Pioneer, I cant find any reviews.
Might it be a better option than the sony as its cheaper and a lot newer.

Not out in the UK yet i'm afraid so zero feedback.
There's some over on AVS (US forum) though,so i guess you could have a look over there.

The Pioneer BDP-120 is not really a Pioneer player. It's actually a Sharp player in a Pioneer box. Until Pioneer/Sharp can sort out more regular firmware updates I'd be careful of that one.

The Sony or LG would make a better bet IMO, LG have done quite well with support of the BH200, so if that continues with their new BD players then you should be OK.

The latest Sony players (S350/550) have been very solid with very few disc issues at all, so (along with Panasonic) would get my vote as the safest players to buy.
