I am going to purchase my first 5.1 Speaker set today/tonight and I want your final thoughts on my options. My budget is about £350. My amp is a yamaha-htr5540. I like warm, rich sounds(and walks in the park:laugh: ), not harsh ones. The set up is mainly for movies, tv, etc. but music, too. Till recently I was intent on floorstanders but reading some posts here it seems that's not the best option. So a bookshelf set is most likely to satisfy.

Well thanks for reading and please feel free to leave any comments about my options:blush:

For that kind of budget I'd go for a set of these :-
    (stand mounts £290)

or you could have the same set except for having the M73I floor standers instead of the M72's.
For a complete hc set up your going to want a subwoofer for the low end omph but that can be added at a later date when funds are available.

alternatively these are also popular and a good budget package imo:-
