So my brother bought 2 TV's and can I choose one for myself. Please help me pick a better one.

    The models are:

    -LG 49LH5100

    -Panasonic 48CW304 - DVB-T2

So I really don't know much about TV's market and I've seen the LG's newer and heard they're very good but also Panasonic has 200hz refresh rate and is more expensive so I don't really know which one to take.

It will be used only for watching television/movies no gaming or other stuff.

    Thank you very much!

It doesn't have a 200hz refresh rate, I don't think TV available new does. That's a '200hz equivalent' i.e. a number made up by marketing. At TVs this price the limitation is the quality rather than the technology, so looking at the spec sheets won't help.

If at all possible I'd set them up side by side and pick whichever looks best. There are so few good reviews of budget TVs online that it's virtually impossible to tell which one would be better without seeing them side by side.

So no quality/performance differences at all between them ?

It could be a huge difference, there's just no way to tell without seeing them or without a review of both from the same person.
