Please help cabling novice before divorce-case

The kids are in tears, my tea is still in the oven from last night...

Can someone please assist, I'm sure its quite simple, but I guess maybe I am too....

Hitachi 42PD5200 plasma
Sony SR4W DVD Home Cinema
Sky Digital

Sky into Plasma through the only scart on TV

OK so far...

According to my Hitachi quick guide I can connect my DVD through "Scart to 6 phono lead" into Input AV2 on plasma.

I bought "Scart to 6 phono" - it has 2 sets of red, white, and yellow. So what is / where is R,G,B,Video,Audio-L,Audio-R? Have I bought the wrong cable?

Is there an easier way to connect DVD without loosing quiality?

Any advice hugely appreciated, you will be saving a 15 year marriage, numerous plates, the dog, 2 kids and another Indian takeaway.

your dvd player has a scart input, connect the sky output to dvd and connect your dvd via scart cable to dvd?

if that doesn't work, I need to know what kind of connection is there other than your single scart connection

Yes you need a scart to component/rgb cable you have bought scart to composite/audio in/out they have red/green/blue rca`s on the end

then just a straight stereo interconnect from dvd player to plasma if u want sound through it

then sky into your av4 scart
