    Hi Everyone.
I am a complete technophobic novice and I wish to replace my old VHS video recorder. I thought about modernising and buying a DVD recorder. I have a budget up to £150 and all I want to do is record telly programmes, watch the results and watch DVD's. Can anybody please advise as I have been reading some DVD reviews and I am flummoxed. Much obliged.

Have a look at the 'Which DVD Recorder?' link in my signature for general advice. At the budget you have your looking at a standalone machine- something like the Panasonic ES10, Samsung R122 or Hitachi RX7000 are good machines to start your search with!
