When I'm using a 5.1 channel source all indicators on the receivers display are indicating respective speaker input correctly.
But when using a 2 channels sound source, Stereo Mode or Direct Mode, there is no indication of any speaker at all. No L,R front indicator are lighting on the display.
Maybe this is absolutely normal behaviour of the ax5? Don’t know.

thanks in advance

Maggi I'm not sure what you mean with digital signal?
The front speaker L-R indicators are not lighting, this is undepending on the component and type of connection as soon there is only input from 2 channels.
My TV is connected analog, PC connection digital coaxial and DVD via iLink.
In all cases L-R off when playing stereo.

Then I have hard to understand the LFE indicator as well.
I´m not using any sub so I turned it OFF in Menu, but the LFE indicator is lighting anyway when playing multichannel. But not when 2 channel.

This is my first Pio receiver and I’m little confused. Probably there is a thought behind or at least a kind of “Pioneer Logic”. The problem is that not even Pioneer technician was really able to explain it.
:suicide:
