I've just purchased a Panasonic TX 28PL10 TV and have finally been in a position to benefit from a s-video out put from my N64 and it looks great I would like to do the same from my 6 year old PS1. Does my PS1 output in in RGB/s-video? I know the original Japanese version came equipped with a s-video socket but when the european version was released it was omitted. I believe I own one of the original PAL version (before they reduced the number and type of connectors on the back) If it does what type of connector/lead will I need to use and are they still readily available?

    Many thanks

The PSone can be connected up using S-Video. I have such a cable myself. Wander down to EB, Game, HMV, or MVC and they'll have one. Somewhere between £7 and £10 (MVC will probably be cheaper).

When (or if) you upgrade to a PS2, the cable will work in that too :)

This is how I connect mine to my projector. My PS2 now benefits from component connections.
