As you all know playlists are NOT possible on the HD3.
However, if you put together a compilation of the tracks you want (using Magix MP3 for eg) and create an audio CD.
Now using Sonic transfer this into an Atrac and onto your HD3.
Then you have (in essence) an album that is in fact your playlist.
:rotfl:  :D :smashin: :hiya:

You can place songs in various groups this doesn't change the album information. Groups equal playlist. I also create custom genres so I can essentially have a song on two "playlists" without having duplicate songs.

The only way I have found around this is to create a 'compilation' in SS and then to change the 'Source' field in all the tracks to a unique name i.e songs for gym etc. and this then becomes the album name, this stops the songs being duplicated in the real album, although it does mean that the songs are tranferred to the player twice.

on the player itelf you can create "bookmarks" for certain tracks. This is close to a play list, only it is a real shag trying to remove tracks, also adding the tracks isn't particually easy either.

So you have to create a compilation based on songs you already have in your player, then you transfer that compilation to HD3 (before or after having change the "source field" them?) and that´s it? I don´t understand very well. I don´t know if it´s because I´m not english or because I´m a little bit thick... Can you be more explicit please? I´m really interesed on this thread!

are you sure that this way you are not duplicating?

Yes he is duplicating. The songs are on the player twice, using up additional space. But because on the two songs there are different album titles, ie. the original album title and the "playlist" title, they won't appear duplicated when you search through the album.
