Playing US Games WiFi in the UK

Just bought Tony Hawks American Sk8land from ebay, and found that it is an American copy.
I've tried playing on WiFi but it just freezes up, are you unable to play US games online over here?

Yeah my DS games work fine over here and they are a mixture of US and AU.

Hmm... seems as though my game keeps crashing when I attempt to connect.
The music freezes and it starts making a horrible noise at me!

And just for the record, this is not the copy I have listed on the Gaming trade forum!

I had a similar problem with my UK version last night.
Just got it to work today but had to be standing right next to the router for it to work!

I warn you, I am awesome at all Tony Hawk's games!
Well, on consoles at least. Still getting used to this handheld malarky.

Ive had the game ages but not played it for a long time. Its great that the controls are near identical to the consoles and it has all the moves !

Great graphics and a licensed soundtrack too, I think its one of the best games on the DS
