    I know that real and QT files can be played in media player with a few tweaks but does anyone know how to get media center to play these filetypes?? Media center uses media player to play stuff so in theory its possible. Or at least does anyone know of a good converter, the ones Ive tried werent any good!!

    You can use Real Alternative to view RM files with a bit of registry tweaking. Think the details of how to do it are on The Green Button. People have tried the same for Quicktime but that doesn't seem to work as well.

    I have now tweaked the registry key as follows;

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov create a REG_SZ called "PerceivedType" and name it "video"

    .MOV now play fine in MCE with Quicktime installed and .mov also told to open with WMP.

    Anyone got the tumbnails to work though?
