Last night a friend turned up with a movie in avi format. My dvd player wouldn't play it so I hook my laytop up to the TV. Unfortunatly, there was over a second delay in sound to picture. When I watch the avi on the laptop screen I notice there is a slight but when I output to the TV there seems to be made much worse. So my question is, where is the delay comming from? CPU? video card? TV?

I wasn't looking for a solution. I was wondering where the bottle neck was that was causing the delay.
